Mike and Jackie’s Festive Early July Wedding at the Waterview

Jackie and Mike’s wedding day began on a hot July day in Shelton CT. Jackie and her bridesmaids got ready at a nearby hotel while jamming out to festive music. Mike and the groomsmen got ready upstairs and the mood was already excitable early in the day. I knew we were in for a party!

Jackie’s sister and mom helped her into her dress before she shared a sweet first look with her dad. We headed to the venue and set up for a series of first looks that would b sure to impress! After sharing a first look with the groomsmen, Jackie pulled the best man aside to pull a first look prank on an awaiting Mike. The best man quickly changed into a (orange soda stained!) gown and we set up one of the best (but not the only) surprises of the day! An unsuspecting Mike was shocked and amused to be tapped on the shoulder and turned to see his best man in a full bridal gown – he was such a good sport! Of course, we then set Mike up to see his bride and his face and reaction did not disappoint!

Following the first looks, the couple took family photos before joining their parents to walk down the aisle to their ceremony. A sweet ceremony followed (officiated by a standing Senator!) and the couple exchanged tears, laughs, vows and rings before sealing their union with a kiss.

Fun formals followed and it was easy to see how much these two love one another – they were such a joy to photograph! The couple joined their reception and kicked the party off right with their first dance, parent dances and thoughtful speeches. And when I say this couple came to party – they came to PARTY! An awesome dance floor ensued and the newlyweds tore up the dance floor in true celebratory style.

Once night fell, they joined us outside for dramatic night photos and then final surprise of the night – fireworks brought by the videographer! We ended the night with a (literal) bang and rang in the newlyweds with 4th of July fireworks! *Congratulations to one of the most fun couples of the year – have the best honeymoon!
