Lake George, NY
This stunning wedding at the Fort William Henry began at Elise's lakeside home in Assembly Point, on Lake George. She and her bridesmaids got ready and shared laughs and drinks before getting into their formalwear. The bride and family took sweet formal photos on the lawn overlooking Lake George, before boarding the limo to the Sacred Heart Church in Lake George Village. The groom, Dan, beamed as his bride to be walked down the aisle and sat by his side during their touching Catholic ceremony. Words were shared by close friends and their officiant before the formal ring exchange and announcement of Mr and Mrs Balk! The bridal party and couple proceeded to the lakefront sidewalk in front of the Fort William Henry for some fun formals -- including a well timed appearance by the famous Minnie-Ha-Ha steamboat! The couple then took sentimental photos with Elise's parents (who were also married at the Fort William Henry) in front of the Fort's canon, before heading into their fun filled reception. We just missed the torrential downpour that followed, cooling down the hot summer day. At the reception, the Grand Central Station band rocked the house, playing awesome dance tunes and sweet slow songs for the bride and groom and their guests. The Fort William Henry's culinary staff impressed as usual with a three course dinner -- followed by a cake cutting by the bride and groom. Dance moves and singing filled the White Lion Room of the remainder of the evening and fun was had by all!
We are so happy that we chose Caitlin to photograph our wedding! We met with her shortly after we got engaged, and we knew instantly she was the perfect photographer for us. She was so professional and fun to work with! She kept in touch with us throughout our whole wedding planning process. We got married in Lake George, and Caitlin is also from the area, so she had great ideas for pictures. My husband and I had one request – we did not want to miss any of our cocktail hour! Caitlin delivered and got us there in time so we could enjoy every minute of our cocktail hour! She took the most beautiful pictures of our ceremony at Sacred Heart Church. She then took us down by the water, and we got lucky and were able to get pictures with the Minne Ha Ha setting sail! From there, she took us up to the Fort William Henry, where our reception was, and captured more breathtaking pictures on the hill overlooking the lake, with the canon, and in front of the museum. In addition to capturing amazing pictures, she also guided my husband and me through the whole day. She even helped bustle my dress in record time! We are so appreciative of everything she did for us! Caitlin is an all-around great person with amazing talent. We had the best day ever, and now we have incredible pictures to look at for many years to come!
I would say my favorite moment was when I saw Caitlin up on a chair capturing all of the action on the dance floor! I love looking through our reception pictures and being able to see how much fun all of our guests had!
